NoGigiddy's story begins with two entrepreneurs who found themselves in a difficult situation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Discovering Flexibility in Crisis
As their business went bankrupt fast, they found themselves in need of immediate employment to avoid eviction.
They had both had bad experiences with toxic and hostile work environments in the past and didn't want to commit to a full-time or part-time job again.
They also wanted to maintain the flexibility to pursue their passion for entrepreneurship.
Finding the right gig was a challenge. They had to sign up for dozens of platforms only to find out that many didn't even offer shifts in their area or had very limited supply. They worked 1000's of hours with staffing apps like Upshift, Instwork, wonolo, indeed flex, etc. when they got the idea of launching their own platform (NoGigiddy), a play on the fact that many platforms had no gigs in their area.
Revolutionizing the Gig Industry
They knew they had a great idea on their hands and decided to launch their own platform, NoGigiddy, to connect applicants to all of the available platforms, including their own network of local businesses, saving them time and hassle. NoGigiddy's platform allows users to view shifts from over 20 platforms and see what shifts are available in their area on each platform.
What sets NoGigiddy apart is their commitment to open gig opportunities to the public. While other companies keep their users on their apps, NoGigiddy actively encourages its users to try as many apps as possible and displays on-demand shifts from the market. They like to think of themselves as the "Uber for flexible jobs”.
